Terms & Conditions

1. About This Service

I provide professional home eye examinations and related services in the comfort of your home. By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility

  • Home eye examinations are available to those who cannot easily attend a high-street optician due to physical or mental health reasons, and in some cases, for people over 60.

  • If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please contact me before booking.

3. Booking & Appointments

  • Appointments are by prior arrangement only.

  • Please provide accurate information about your location, health conditions, and any special requirements at the time of booking.

  • I reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments if necessary, with as much notice as possible.

4. NHS Funding

  • Some home eye tests may be funded by the NHS if you meet the eligibility criteria.

  • It is your responsibility to confirm eligibility; I can help check this on your behalf.

  • If you are not eligible for NHS funding, you will be responsible for the cost of the service.

5. Payment

  • Payment details will be provided when booking.

  • Payment is due either before or at the time of the visit unless otherwise agreed.

6. Glasses & Prescriptions

  • If new glasses are required, you may select from available frames during the visit.

  • Glasses are made to your prescription and delivered to your home.

  • I cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third-party suppliers.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.

  • Refunds will be provided at my discretion for missed or unsatisfactory appointments.

8. Liability

  • I take care to provide professional and safe eye care.

  • I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the service.

  • Any medical concerns outside the scope of an eye examination should be referred to your GP or specialist.

9. Data Protection

  • Personal information collected will be used solely for providing the service and in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

  • Your details will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or necessary to fulfil the service.

10. Complaints

  • Any complaints should be raised promptly via email or phone.

  • I will make every effort to resolve issues quickly and fairly.

11. Changes to Terms

  • I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

  • Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
